H-1B Cap Reached for FY2019, and USCIS Lottery Completed

On April 6, 2018 USCIS announced it reached the H-1B cap for Fiscal Year 2019. USCIS received 190,098 petitions during the filing period, reaching the statutory cap of 65,000 and the advanced degree (master's) cap of 20,000.

On April 11, USCIS completed a computer-generated random selection process to select a sufficient number of the petitions filed, and will be rejecting and returning the unselected petitions.
